Illuminating our Invisible World

Hi! If you’re curious, stick around to see where my #sciComm journey takes me! I write and speak about everything ranging from astrobiology and evolution to ecology, and even the science behind science fiction. As you can probably tell, I’m still figuring out my “beat”.

I absolutely hated science when I was little—it was just a boring class that I had to take and that stood in the way of me and recess. I first got truly excited about science when my high school biology teacher used the classroom light switches to demonstrate the concept of gene expression regulation. Something “clicked” for me, and I knew that I wanted to pursue both scientific research and science communication that inspires even the most stubborn minds.

My goal is to tell science stories that reach those who don’t care to hear them.

I’m currently a PhD student in the MIT Microbiology Program studying the evolution of microbial metabolisms. I earned my bachelor’s in organismic and evolutionary biology from Harvard University in 2024.
